i've been looking for a means to disable this, but it will require some heavy coding and will be a massive drag on the server- and the reason that is, is because it is inherit to the browsers being used to access the site, not the site... it 'can' be defeated, but at a massive expense to time and resources...
i'm looking for a way to turn that switch off, so to speak, on individual browsers or for individual sites USING the users browser to do so...
tech cracks me up- it tries to be smarter by doing things for you we're used to doing for ourselves- yet doing it so clumsy it's frustrating us- and when the dust clears what we find is WE adjusted for IT, not IT adjusting for US. as an example, W10 removed access to certain parts of the operating system, and those very controls people used to take control of their own user experience... you'll never convince me that wasn't done for the purpose of uniformity and control of the hive.
