Another few seats in that beisbol stadium and it'll be the same size as Alex Box :)

(or at least that's how some of us fans feel, at least)

One of the sports radio bloviators out of OKC was complaining that there were too many average teams in the CFP.

His solution? Expand the field to 16.

:banghead:

???

Did he say anything about why he thought more teams would fix the problem of too many average teams?  That's an odd thing to say, even for a sports bloviator trying to fill up time.

Pity the sports bloviators.
Two teams that were supposed to contend for the Super Bowl are, well, in the Super Bowl. It's two weeks away, so you gotta save something for the end.
CFB is ended and the portal is cooled to all but the most degenerate fans. All basketballs are mid-season. No real crunch to playoff yet. Conference championships are even a month away. The NHL is close to their "sort of mid-season break" 4-Nations tournament, but only me and like 10 other people care. Pitchers and catchers don't even report to MLB for like another 2 weeks.
There's only so many "whole body deodorant" commercials you can run on a podcast. There's really nothing to say.

One more "alright" and you could've poured one out for McConaughey instead.

No, he didn't offer any explanation. Just went on to another random, talking-off-the-top-of-his-head, bloviation.

Looks like Texas will be a likely preseason number one team in the "rankings", which is really just an indication they should be a top ten/playoff caliber team again.

Ohio State or Georgia should be #1.  That's my vote.

UGA is losing some key pieces (as usual) off a fairly flawed team.  I know they will get a preseason top ten, and probably have a pretty good year.  It's all relative of course, other teams lose pieces as well.  My only interest in preseason rankings is seeing whether some unexpected team shows up in the second ten, like say a Georgia Tech or TCU etc.  Starting at #1 or #3 or #7 to me is the same thing.
