yup, I suspect fans, players, and coaches from ALL conferences think their refs could use an upgrade

I know the Big 12 did a decade ago and the B1G does today

CFN predicts FoSu 23, ISU 20.  That's probably the game of the week in the Big 12.

Refs make errors.  We tend to remember those that go against our team.

I used to ref soccer, of all things, it wasn't easy, and that was kids, up to U18, rec.

This IS a week of boring games overall.  For most of us the only interesting games are ones that affect our teams.  Kansas is an awful team but they are a conference foe so it does count for the Sooners.  OSU/ISU has championship implications so that is interesting for Big 12 fans.  Outside of those, nothing I care to watch this week.

Even out of conference there isn't much of note, this vacuum is a bit unusual, usually there iis one game somewhere that looks interesting.  I don't see a single game with ranked teams playing.

Cincy at Navy could be interesting, probably not.

I like the Okie st Iowa st game the best because of the home state and the ol Big 8 foes

after that??? ...........will be interesting to see if

Clemson will lose a 3rd game vs a decent Pitt team at Pitt

and of course a competitive USC @ Notre Dame game can be good

Yeah, Oklahoma State bears watching a bit to see how long they can run, along with Michigan State I think,  I imagine we keep waiting for them to lose somewhere.

I think that the most interesting aspect of OU at Kansas is how much and how well Spencer Rattler plays.

But everything else about the game figures to be even less interesting than that.

The situation with Rattler is fascinating, one of several unexpected QB stories around the country.

Well, OU-Kansas was far more "interesting" than it had a right to be.

OU has to regroup on defense.  Right now they are regressing.  They made the KU QB look like Joe Montana.

Injuries are part of that, but that's not the whole problem.

We've had bad tackling since Brent Venable was our DC.  And when Mike Stoops came back we had it.  And now with Alex Grinch as the DC we have it.  The position coaches have changed over time too.  But the bad tackling is perennial.

I think that oSu got a bad spot on the 4th-and-2 play on its last possession.

Welp, I didn't care for that aspect at all.
This was one ugly win and a very ugly 8-0.  I'm not a "fire the coach" kind of guy but someone has to take control of the secondary.  Way too many years of guys not being able to cover or tackle.
