I think TCU wins.  I hope it's a blowout.
Well it wasnt a blowout but it works
with both OK St and TCU winning today the Big12 is 4 and 2 with two more games coming
Go Big12

Yep, after slow starts the Fighting Frogs and Mighty Mullets played some good football.  Congrats to the Frogs and the Pokes.

Go Big12
I can pull for Iowa St to beat Memphis, but I can’t do OU.
Be assured, whatever success OU has in the post-season, it will be attributed to the glory and helmet of OU.
No one will have a fleeting thought that correlates OU success with the Big 12.  The glory will all be OU’s.

You can't make someone root for a team he just can't root for.

But, as a matter of fact, when the conference champ does well in a high-profile bowl game, the glow rubs off on the whole conference.

That worked for the Big 12 when OU won the 2000 championship and when Texas won the 2005 championship.

It worked for the Mountain West when TCU beat Wisconsin in the 2010 (season) Rose Bowl.

It worked for the B1G when Ohio State beat first Alabama and then Oregon to win the 2014 championship.

It has worked for the SEC as Bama has won 4 of the last 8 championships.  Hence, two SEC teams in this year's playoff.

And that's not due to the fans or administration or media of the victorious institutions generously passing around praise for the conference or the other members.  It's just how it is.

A win by OU is at least a neutral for the Big 12 (the bare minimum) and I think more realistically it raises the conference in the eyes of the CFB world.  Clemson's success has helped the ACC, and CW just documented a whole lot of other cases.
But perhaps another way you might think about this BC is what happens to the conference if OU loses badly in the playoffs (at either stage).  I don't think a close loss has much impact, but look at the B1G having had two teams get routed, blanked even, the past two playoffs, and this year Ohio St got frozen out despite having won the B1G conference championship in favor of Bama, who didn't even make the SECCCG.
An OU loss, a bad one at least, drops the Big 12 even further prestige wise.  It's a "hey look even their flagship team got killed and so they all REALLY suck" kind of deal.  So, if I were you and could not stand the thought of OU winning, at least cheer for us to lose in a close one :040:

Forget our rivalry with OU.  What I am saying stiil holds true, and it would be true for Texas as well.

If OU wins its 38th NC, the glory all goes to OU’s helmet.  If Oklahoma State won an NC, the Big 12 rules!!  Texas and OU own their own success.  The Big 12 is scarcely reflected by Texas/OU success as with any of the 8.

Not sure why you feel UT and OU is removed from what folks think about the Big12
Why is this true of the Big12 and not for any other helmet teams of any other conference
I think your disdain for the Big12 is clouding your view of the real world

Because other conferences don’t consist of 2 helmet teams and then the rest.

No.  Some conferences, like the Pac-12, only have one helmet team.
