Fact Check: Preventing transmission never required for COVID vaccines’ initial approval; Pfizer vax did reduce transmission of early variants | Reuters

I doubt Pfizer would feel a need to make such a claim from a business standpoint.  But, they certainly could have promulgated it through others, legally.

Oddly enough, Pfizer stock is down since COVID first hit (mostly, or somewhat, for other reasons).

Of course not.

It was done for them by government officials - elected and unelected.

Mandates and false claims, among other things.

So, again, my sister-in-law from Tucson got it while on a 30-day vacation in Fla. I went to Fla. and had close contact with her. (stayed in her condo). My 90-year-old mom caught it in Arizona, and brought it to Iowa My 65-year old sister caught it, too, and traveled here to Iowa and met me here with mom.

Now my brother caught it from his wife (my aforementioned sister-in-law).

Today, my daughter tested +, after she had contact with my sister and my mother on July 5 and 6. My daughter is a healthcare worker and now has to take time away from work.

Meanwhile, I am the most infamous catcher of COVID-19 (3x) in the family, and had more contact with infected persons  than my daughter, between contacts with positive testers in Florida and Iowa. I tested negative, today. I have had the vaccine 5x.

Perhaps my immune system has been stimulated and I am finally resistant.

I'm at "superspreader" events all the time here in Florida. I got nothing. It's been over two years now since I had Covid (that I know of).

Yeah I'm not even sure what a "superspreader event" would mean in current context?

At this point, it's just called Life.

Exactly.

Last week a local grocery store had a wine tasting with 20 different tables. They had about 800 people in the store, including me. Odds are that someone in that store had to have Covid.

I mean, I understand that people with high risk factors still need to be on high alert which may include avoiding risky situations including large gatherings.  I'm not trying to be insensitive to that.  But it's up to them to manage that, we can't ask the rest of the world to manage that for them.

We'll be on a 4 hour plane flight next month, and a 16 hour set of flights in September, plus airports.  Our chances of being nearish someone with COVID are probably high.

I plan to wrap myself in Saran wrap.

Round 6 is upon me. I guess I'm still a magnet.

I just have a very mild cold this time.

I had the test kits so I decided to do it. If I didn't have them I would not have tested.
