I did find it funny. That's why I posted it in this thread which is a "Whimsical Postings" thread as I didn't want to start a debate.
Hopefully the Federal Gov't will reroute the hordes to a locale near you so you can share in this bountiful humerous and seemless transition that will cause no problems for your wife or children

All cities of 58,000 have 20,000 immediate job openings that will keep all of these compliant transplants not only busy and out of trouble but satiated

We can have a spirited debate about immigration. Sam & medina already have.

That wasn't a spirited debate. That wasn't a discussion of the social impacts on an Ohio town that has absorbed heavy numbers of immigrants.

That was a man on the national stage making an unhinged, wildly unfounded, claim that immigrants are stealing and eating people's pets. It would be bombastic and shocking--if true. Since it's not true, it sounded like a crazy QAnon rant.

Ok. Against my better judgment, I watched that. And there were no credible accounts of pets getting snatched and eaten. Geese and ducks? I'm not going to dispute that. But geese or ducks found in public spaces aren't pets. Hell, a bunch of native-born Americans hunt ducks, and although it's not common today, the idea of a "Christmas Goose" is not outside the idea of our histories. Those animals are widely recognized as both wild animals, and acceptable for use as food. I'm not suggesting they should be hunted/eaten within city limits, but it's a COMPLETELY different thing from pets getting stolen and eaten.

As the one guy interviewed mentioned, he's heard rumors but never anything that could nail down "who, when, and where". To me, that's important. A pet getting abducted for food would immediately be theft which would suggest a police report. Many pets are expensive. Mine would easily become "grand theft" here in CA. And it would also lead to an insanely angry pet owner. I'm not some internet tough guy, but if someone stole and ate my dog, there'd be a police report for the theft and I'm going to say there'd be a secondary police report for my assault of that perp.

This is what gets me on this politically. Everyone says "forget what Trump said about eating pets--look at the social implications of this immigration!"

But no, we're NOT going to forget what he said. He said that they were eating the pets. And this wasn't in some rally where he might be excused for being insane. This was in the middle of his [potentially only] national debate against his opponent and he claimed something outrageous and crazy. This was his job interview to the nation. Would you hire someone who said something that BSC in a job interview in your line of work?

My point was these situations are a bad problem - not just about domestic animals being killed and eaten that you seem to be spinning it. That is the gist of my observatioins. These throngs didn't even make here by their own application - they were flown and then bussed. Then housing was taken from residents on waiting lists to recieve it & locals depending on food cupboards that are now bare -that's the rub. There is an old adage - "it depends on whose ox is getting gored" pertaining to perspective.Would you want these transpalnts in your back yard is my point???You want evidence? Set the clubs down for a weekend and fly into one of these "Destinations" and poke around for yourself.

I realize the Gov't in Cali hasn't done the residents there any favors but this type of crap is horrendous. utee 94 is prolly thinking don't move here and he wouldn't be wrong. Perhaps you are fortunate enough to avoid them - there's your better judgement. What's the reason for all of this White House sponsered malevolence - they add nothing to society and take valuable resources that the locals not Washington have provided. Washington is causing problems that will force locals to take drastic measures this is what's happening.

Yeah, I'd have preferred Georgia retain its #1 ranking but it is what it is.
