Plus you don't get to play the Wolverines.

I like the Little Brown Jug right out of the gate. That said, kind of surprised that they didn't front load with divisional games in case of cancellation.

Also, I think that the league will be in the domes in Minneapolis, Indy, and Detroit after Thanksgiving.

there's a small dome in Vermillion South Dakota, but I assume the Huskers will play outdoors

shouldn't bother the hearty gophers on Dec 12th

Purdue's crossovers are Rutgers and IU. I'm not gonna complain about that.

Purdue and Rutgers have the easiest crossover schedules, each playing one another plus one other cupcake.

Rutgers will probably lose them both.

btw.. fully expected it.  It has been the norm since joining.  I guess we can thank the fan base and the $$$ UNL adds to the big games via viewership.

Rank the following matchups by the ratings that they would be projected to generate.

A Ohio State-Nebraska
B Penn State-Nebraska
C Rutgers-Nebraska

With that in mind, which on of those three games are the Big Ten bean counters most likely to eliminate from the docket?

Apparently the Vegas O/U on Purdue in a 9-game season is 3.5. Ouch.

OSU is 8.5. So yeah, it's a bet on whether they're going undefeated.

Also a bet that not a single game gets canceled.

Hard pass.

I just looked up the site that Hammer & Rails got their O/U totals from, and they have this rider for Ohio State on the bet:

Quote
Team must complete 9 season games (Includes Champions Week) before 1/1/21 for action. Team must play exact opponents announced by Big Ten on 9/19/20 for action. Opponents do not have to be played in same order as schedule.

So if anything changes on the season other than order of opponents, it's a no-bet and you get your money back. Ohio State can't have Michigan bow out due to COVID and replace them with Youngstown State and it still be viable.

To me, this year, OSU looks more advanced over any other B1G team than in recent years past.

And as long as the west division winner is selected based upon overall win/loss records, then UNL's TV rankings are an obstacles the rest of west does not face...   It is clear the BIG wanted UNL's TV viewership and that is all.   It was recognized as an important factor in the beginning.   I personally didn't realize it was the only factor.

At the end of the day, UNL has to be better.   They're not good enough to win the west regardless.

Man, you guys are beginning to sound like King Berry that time that he lamented having to play OSU, Michigan and MSU in the same season. Only this is even sadder than that, because you guys actually have a brand name behind your program.

You sued to play, but now your schedule is too hard? Come on now. You play in the B1G West, fergawdsakes. That's like a beefed up version of the MAC.

MSU was the only school locked into play 2 of the 3 helmets in the old 11 team days, that also had the potential to play the third.

The locked in rivalries became UM-OSU-PSU-MSU.  One of those schools was not like the other.

I think I saw based on SP+, Nebraska's schedule is still just the 7th toughest in the Big Ten
