I think any reasonably sane person, in the middle of any tragedy whether it's your house burning down or being involved in a car crash, doesn't give two fucks about what the person looks like. In fact, most everybody would vote 10/10 for the person best suited to do the job. In other words, men who can carry large, heavy objects like firehoses and equipment, versus somebody else who is there based on DEI.
For minor accidents or non-emergency responses, I'm sure sometimes it would be best to have somebody respond who can best handle the situation based on their race or gender. But that's not what she said.
