Since
@MaximumSam brought up guns in an effort to distract from the deaths caused by the left's depolicing push I'm going to point out something that infuriates me.
The very same leftists who push gun control pushed depolicing. So you are telling me that:
- The state isn't going to protect me because that would be racist or something, and
- You don't want me to be able to protect myself either.
To that I say, if you want my guns you better send a well armed team and they'll have to pry my cold dead fingers off of them.
We increasingly live in an anarcho-tyranny. Traffic stops are way down and yet generally law abiding people like me can't drive 11 MPH over the limit through several towns in my area without getting a ticket in the mail that I'll HAVE to pay.
When cops actually do actual traffic stops it isn't just about speed, they also find stolen cars and illegal guns and people with warrants, etc. When they quit, and instead rely on speed cameras for speed control they still give tickets to generally law abiding people like me but they no longer catch the stolen cars and illegal guns and people with warrants. The people with stolen cars and illegal guns and warrants are then free to drive at terrifying speeds and continue to carry illegal guns and remain free despite warrants.
This is literally the worst of both worlds. In a police state we'd have security without freedom. In a libertarian utopia we'd have freedom without security. In our modern anarcho-tyranny we have neither freedom nor security.
