I'd think a very advanced civilization might plausibly have no interest in us, or if they did, would use microprobes to "keep tabs". Fifty light years is a LONG way obviously.
And it is possible that said civilization might know of 10-15-20 other worlds harboring life within their reach of say 100 light years. We might be comparatively boring to them. Would they have any need to come here "in person"? Probably not, unless they wanted to colonize.
And travsersing said distance "in person" obviously is difficult. They likely could terraform local planets and moons and do better.
