At a Halloween party I attended last fall, a Ford engineer had just returned from Detroit where she picked a Mustang EV up to drive around. She took me out to show the car to me. It had some pretty cool features, but I told her that it was NOT a Mustang. They should have called it something else, but it was NOT what I or other Mustang lovers would ever consider a Mustang. 

I don't think she cared what I thought.

So, my new Dell comes with McAffee installed, and at times it is SLOW as molasses in winter time to upload something, relative to my 8 year old Dell.

I figure it's the antivirus, which I never had on the old one.  So, after much searching, I finally manage to turn off at least one part of it, and now it nags me all the time to turn it back on.

Annoyed.

why dont you just uninstall it

not a good idea to go with no virus protection though

I use McAffee and it does not slow my system down

there are a lot of good antivirus programs out there

find one you like and install it
