It ended up a little dry and I think the bark-meat ratio was a bit high. The ends were almost burnt as it didn't as evenly as I would have thought. The thickest part ended up nice though.

Part of it might have been that it was my first low & slow on the Joe Jr, and the fire almost went out on me at one point, and then I had to run it up to 300 to be sure I could finish in time for dinner (which still ended up being late).

I'd probably try to find a much larger cut or cut it myself off a chuck roll subprimal to get it much more "pork butt" sized if I did it again.

Makes sense.

I just had the oddest 10 seconds of my life.
I went on twitch and some chick had like 12,000 ppl watching her stream.  So I click it:

What is Twitch?  Well, this is:
It was a big-boob bikini chick in an inflatable hot tub.  She was dancing with a giant inflatable pickle that looked like Rick from 'Rick and Morty.'  She's dancing to "Careless Whisper" by George Michael.
.
I feel odd.  Is this normal now?  This chick is making some thousands of dollars per month doing stuff like this.  Reminds me of a Japanese gameshow clip or something.
.
I need to take a shower I think.  Something.  WTF.

Now she's wearing a pigeon? mask.  I don't think I'm ever visiting this site again.

I guess it's "Do something rather silly while scantily clad and get folks to watch."

I don't even know how to follow that...

.

Anyone have travel tips for downtown Seattle? Going next month and other than things like the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, I have no idea what's cool to see/do.

Take the ferry to Poulsbo.

Take a drive to Snoqualmie Falls and have a bite at the Salish.

Take the underground tour.

Eat at Ivar's and Metropolitan Grill.

Stay at the Edgewater Hotel.

Hopefully it's not all boarded up still, and things are open.

Thanks Badge. We won't have a car, so the falls are out, and I've got Hilton credit, so we'll be staying somewhere in the Hilton family of properties... But those others are things I haven't heard of and will go on the list to check out. Much appreciated.

Edgewater has (or at least they did have) live music. Can't beat the view of the sunset (if it's out) over the Sound from there. It's the only waterfront hotel in Seattle.

Can also catch some good live music in Belltown. Or at least you could in the past.

I don't know how things are up there now. Was there 3 years ago.

We stayed at the downtown Hilton one night (i have a zillion points).  It's pretty convenient for walking around.  We were taking an Alaskan cruise the next day.

The Pike Market, to me, isn't particularly singular, it's worth a gander I suppose.

I ran today, a bit, for the first time, went well.  I also threw on the tennis practice court (rubber ball).  Looking forward to getting back into shape, I had not really run much since the August surgery.  Heart rate is fine, steady, not lumpy, I tried to keep it under 120.  Resting rate is 55 or so.  I cut back on the Metopropol.

my 20 something daughter enjoyed the underground tour.

she also enjoyed some museum or attraction, I'll ask her if the timing is right.

I haven't been there, but would like to visit.
