“That environment was top 10. I’ve got to give it to them,” Hunter said on The Travis Hunter Show. “The little lights show in the fourth quarter, that was cool too. No lie, that was a good little show, boy. Their fans was loud on third down, when you break the huddle, when you get in the huddle. I can’t even think to myself how loud it was.”
According to the official record, 86,906 people were inside Memorial Stadium on Saturday. It was a packed house, one waiting for a big win to get the Matt Rhule era really rocking and rolling.
“They came out fast,” Hunter said. “They hit us in the mouth. We had no response. That’s pretty much what happened.”
“Nebraska is a good team,” Hunter said. “I mean they beat us fair and square. We’ve just got to come out and do better. We’ve got to play Colorado football, and that’s not Colorado football.”
