I am going with Barry Sanders because I am older than most here, and he was really good with quick speed, including laterally, and outstanding vision. Plus, I couldn't throw the ball, so I identify with RBs more.

That said, Joe Burrow had one of the best seasons in college football history.

I heard a great story. Sylvester Croom was out of spring practice before Thomas’s first year. He was out on a track next to the football field because he either enrolled Early for track and field or was an All-Star high school senior practicing there for some reason.

Thomas was recruited nominally as a tight end. Croom saw how low he could get in his stance before firing off the blocks and basically said “Oh, that’s an All-American pass rusher who I will make sure isn’t playing offense.”

easily Barry Sanders imo. those #'s he put up were in 11 games.

you add his Holiday Bowl #'s that stat line is 2,850 rushing yards, 42 rushing touchdowns and 7.7 YPC in 12 games. that is simply put....f*cking insane.

greatest pure talent i have ever seen in the game of football. that guy could just do things nobody else could do.

Jeaux Burreaux played in the SEC-SEC-SEC. During a 15-0 Championship Run. JB led his Bayou Bengals thru some treacherous waters
During the season teams ranked position when LSU played/defeated them.
No 9 Texas
No 7 FLA
No 9 Auburn
No 3 Alabama
SEC CCG
No 4 Georgia
CFPOs
No 4 Sooners
No 3 Clemson

🏆Jeaux Burreaux🏆

I might go with Burrow but I think as a QB, another great one might come along and surpass his accomplishments

Level of competition hurts Edwards.  I watched the Nebraska game.  Nebraska wasn't great defensively against the pass that season and had a comfortable lead 35-6 at the half

It's about ONE season not what might come along years after. Sanders was specatacular but didn't share near the QBs responsibility to perform under pressure - in a season such as that

He was accompanied on offense by 1,400-yard running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and two 1,500-yard receivers, Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, with the former winning the Biletnikoff Award as the best wide receiver in the country. The Tigers' offensive line won the Joe Moore Award as the nation's best offensive line unit.
