Not sure this is considered deep dish- by definition it is different than Chicago style...it’s Detroit style.  Not a fan of deep dish, but love these.  Buddies and Green lantern in Michigan!  One of the biggest things to miss living in florida.
No way! I'm in Florida too. What parts? The pizza here sucks. Lucali's in Miami Beach is probably the best pizza you can find in the state- Domenic- the owner of the place is the cousin of the original Lucali's NYC owner Mark. Not as good as the NYC spot- but damn close.

Buddy's is flat out amazing. The best pizza in Detroit is Supino's though. And it's not even remotely close in my opinion. I honestly think Supino's is the best pizza I've had anywhere. Maybe even better than the pizzas I've eaten in Naples, Rome, and Sicily. It is better than anything you'll find in New York.

Buddy's is definitely pizza by the way. It's a riff off of Sicilian style square pizza- grandmas pizza as it's known in America- it originated in Detroit from a Sicilian immigrant and his wife named Gus Guerra. They were actual Italians- making a style of pizza from their homeland. They wound up using steel auto pans instead of the flat pans and they wound up using Wisconsin brick cheese instead of Italian style mozzarella. What resulted was an incredible reinvention of an old Sicilian classic.

Chicago style "pizza" is not pizza at all. It's not pizza. It's a disgusting baked casserole that was invented by some American businessman from Chicago who I believe was Jewish and had zero Italian roots. It's not Italian. It's not pizza. And it is disgusting.

It's pizza. It's too dissimilar to NY pizza that it's not fair to either of them to try to ask which is "better". But it's still pizza.
Not pizza.

I'll admit I'm not all that familiar with Detroit pizza, but the looks to me like a variant of pan pizza. Pan pizza is not deep dish pizza.
That Detroit style pizza it's a variant of Sicilian pizza. And it is pizza. Chicago deep dish "pizza"? That is a creation of a Jewish American businessman named Ike Sewell- who was from Texas- not Chicago or Italy- and his partner was from Mexico- again- which is not in Italy as far as I know- and it's not pizza but more of a weird baked casserole- and it is disgusting.

Buckeyes stall out in the red zone and then miss a field goal.  At least deep dish pizza is still pizza.

I'll let the great Jon Stewart settle this little debate. Man he was great. That show sucks without him.

WVU about to have it’s second starter in the secondary ejected because of targeting. I miss football.

Just as I feared.

Temple's defense is for real, and Russo is a good QB.
