I’m a little late myself. We host and family event is up to 25 people at our house, which in itself is the true blessing.

Truly thankful for decent health where I’m able to still host and thankful for such a great family, even though only my brother and I sport the maize and blue.

Thankful for this group here, where most of the time people are reasonable and great humans that adopted college football as a big part of life once upon a time and over the years have learned that so much more of life is the key to fulfilling life.

Nubbz, I’d come help since I did all the Christmas decorations last weekend, but you’re a dirty buckeye this week. Enjoy your W tomorrow and the Christmas decor.

No worries Cindy decorates more than Macy's inside. I just provide the old wooden Pabst case to elevate the tree over the display that'd make Martha Stewart envious 🎄🎄🎄

My wife does a lot of ours, but since our main floor tree is 16 feet and our highest mantle is about that high, I certainly lug the ladder in and help with a lot. Two years ago our Christmas was pretty rough for our kids, so last year and this year we went full blown Macy’s competition route as well so the kids had a much better experience. It’s enjoyable, but two days of decorating and two trees on different levels and garland lining most of the higher up places is a lot. I haven’t even started outside yet. Lol

Wish I was kidding. Our old house we had a 14’ tree that every level had each branch go in branch by branch with individual spokes. That alone took two days at about 4 hours per day. So at the new house it was time to upgrade the tree and I figured since it’s only 5 pieces that connected and prelit, even taller wouldn’t be a big issue. My brain was not exactly wise with that decision. It looks amazing when it’s up. Getting the star and ornaments at the top is not fun. My legs from doing the ladder that much last weekend were shot on Monday.

my oldest (now 30) has been in charge of Xmas decorations at my house for a long time

she might not be home again before Xmas and just left

since I'll be at my brother's in Texas for Xmas I won't be decorating much

not a bah humbug thing, just not worth the effort

Figures the old "mine is bigger than yours" on Rivalry Week End. I'll climb 17' up to the Birdhouse in the Pin Oak out back and stick the bulb I had inside that i had in the Pumpkin for Halloween

Never mind I'll put my top man on it

At least in SoCal I don't have to worry about the cost or aggravation of a 16' tree...

When my kids went off to college, I eschewed the whole tree thing for a while, but the wife likes to decorate, fine with me I guess.  I have to lug the tree box up from the storage unit downstairs.  We walked by a "live" tree place and she checked the prices, a nice 10 footer was $350 she said.  Holy ....

And here when it's all done, what do you do with your dead tree?  They have some sort of collection point downstairs.

I think nearly everyone here has a fake tree.

Take that train of thought to its logical conclusion, and just put up a Christmas tree fathead.
