so if SEC/B1G keep it at 85 does that mean they can still have all the walk-ons they want? or is overall roster still hard capped at 105?
Hard capped at 105 is what I understand it to be.

ok so if you can't have as many walk-ons as you want, what's the point of self-imposing a cap it at 85? an attempt at parity?
I'm more cynical.

Revenue sharing is coming.  That's an additional 20 spots you have to split revenue among, making you less compelling to the top guys.  You aren't giving those bottom 20 guys NIL, those are spots you are used to be filled by walk ons.  So those guys wind up getting paid backup type money at an MSU or Cincinnati or Pitt, to at least maybe be in the two deep.  So now you are right back to walk on cailber guys anyway, except now they are getting a cut of the revenue AND you are putting them on scholarship

has one year of eligibility left. former 4*, top 100 overall recruit in the 2022 class. he's much better than what he's shown imo and he's shown some real flashes in moments. last year he was receiving option #6 on a team that didn't pass the ball very much, this year he was receiving option #2 on a team that literally couldn't pass the ball and only put up 23 catches for 248 yards and 2 TD's. He'll be a stud #2 or slot WR for someone else. Was hoping he'd stick around next year with a re-tooled QB room and some added WR options in the portal.

I think he can get another year because of injury but has to petition NCAA for it.

He should probably just graduate from college and get a job selling insurance or financial services....
